Software/ device/equipment: One CNC Bench Turning Machine, One CNC Bench Milling Machine, Two Articulate Robots, ASRS, A Belt Conveyor, Six Computer-Control Modules with one CIM Manager Computer, Ten Student Learning Stations, One Air Compressor and three 3D printing Machines; Large, Medium and Desk Printer, A Surface Roughness Equipment with Computer Control and Data Acquisition System.
Description: This lab includes a fully automated educational manufacturing cell comprising a CIM system with automated material handling through conveyor and robot system and CNC stations (milling and turning) with a quality control and ASRS stations. The lab is equipped with LearnMate software for educational and simulation purposes. The lab also contains three 3D printing machines with different capacities in terms of printable object sizes and materials mix.
Lab. Manual: The lab manual is included within the exercise modules in the LearnMate software with over 100 exercises.
Experimental sheet: The lab sheet are included within the exercise modules in the LearnMate software.
Safety procedure: The lab deals with moving machinery and robotic arms and curring processes which may produce debris and fine chips. Wearing protective gear such as safety goggles, gloves and lab coats is required for students.
